ABOUT THE WEBMASTER

Hi! I'm Jay, also known as Hal or Kosmo. I'm an adult Anthropology student, web developer, researcher, general Internet enthusiast, and media archivist. I love systems engineering and radical geometry, audio/video technology, digital cameras (and digital photography) and invertebrates; I spend much of my time out in the wilderness, searching for native insects and sweeping the treeline for passerine birds.
I draw with a HUION Inspiroy tablet, using Krita, and take all of my photographs on a COOLPIX L820. I am a massive music technology enthusiast, with particular emphasis on plastic-shelled novelty synthesizers circa the 1980's. I adore proto-mammals, synapsids and gorgonopsids, as well as Apodiformes, predatory mites & ticks, freshwater fish, and mimicking insects. They Might Be Giants and DEVO are my two passion bands, but I'm equally enthused about TWRP, Kraftwerk, The Bondage Fairies, and some others, who I've currently forgotten at the time of writing this.

THIS SITE IS TAKING PART IN THE WORLDWIDE STRIKE FOR PALESTINIAN LIBERATION

In hopes that the world may, one day, be left in peace. This site is intolerant to Zionism and all other forms of bigotry; may the nation of Palestine one day prosper without fear.

Treatise on Website Making

The modern web, as it stands today, is a greatly reduced version of its earliest incarnations; devoted to adspace and datamining, the Internet known to most users is a corporate facsimile of one of the most predominant mediums of creative expression.
The Internet is not lost, though. Tucked away in furtive crevices exist sites like mine, and sites like those belonging to so many talented users and developers who call Neocities home. Making your own website is an easy, fulfilling, and creatively freeing exploit; by creating your own space within the Internet, and not following a template designated for use by corporations, you liberate yourself in some small quantity, and enrich your mind with a furthered knowledge of what it means to make something from scratch. I hope this site, and others on Neocities, might inspire you to establish your own niche on the World Wide Web. It's a tedious process, something any webmaster will reveal to you, but a process well worth the effort!
